We want to make homeless Angelenos' lives less though in Winter
...And make them feel the neighborhood is homey despite hardship
Our plan is to provide for at least three months every day in Los Angeles Downtown warm, balanced meals to people in need, instead of donating raw food and canned cold meals. This project will efficiently feed disadvantaged people while reducing the edibles waste in our area.
On November 6, 2019, we got a GENEROUS DONATION from The Ralphs Grocery Co. and The Kroger Co. Zero Hunger | Zero Waste program, that will feed 30 persons on Thanksgiving Day 2019, but we want to extend this help for vulnerable population in Los Angeles Downtown area for at least THREE MONTHS, during the Winter 2019-2020.
The Winter Warm Meals for Homeless People in Los Angeles is a pilot program to provide warm, balanced food for the increasing homeless population and disadvantaged seniors within an area of one mile from our Los Angeles headquarters, where our volunteer team will be cooking for them, instead of giving away raw food and canned cold meals.
We want people in need to access warm food.
We want to avoid food waste in our city.
Sometimes we can not provide a shelter for everyone, but a bowl of warm soup and friendship makes life easier.
